Word Choice is a vocabulary exercise book for those who would like to improve their English vocabulary. The main aim of the book is to give vocabulary practice in 500 vocabulary items from the New Academic Word List to those who are going to take an English proficiency exam. The book consists of multiple choice questions in short contexts, as well as synonym and definition questions.
The book is self-sufficient in that the answer key provides learners with the English and Turkish definitions and part of speech of each word, including the distractors. Learners do not need to refer to other sources while checking their answers. Also, because learners encounter the same items in various tests, they will find it easier to remember the meanings of the words as they progress through the book.
